Students with a Disability

You should make us aware of any disabilities that you have during the application and interview process. Whilst this is not compulsory we find that early awareness of your issues will help us to help you.

We have a policy of equality of opportunity for all and will discuss your particular circumstances with you at application.

If you suspect you may have Dyslexia or Dysphasia or any other condition for which you require special assistance, you should make us aware of this during your application and if your application is successful we will make an appointment with a specialist in your area. They will screen you, and if appropriate refer you for an assessment (usually carried out by an Educational Psychologist).

The Psychological Assessment or equivalent evidence is used to get facilities put in place that students with specific learning difficulties are entitled to.

We will also give advice on additional grants that may be available for students with disabilities.
